 Happy Monday! We were able to sleep in a little bit and I was woken up by Rocky shaking me and saying "MOM! It's light out! It's time to get up!" So up we got. Mom, Dad and Drew headed to Walmart to pick up a few things. When Teddy woke up his fever was down to 100. So taht is a good thing, however, we know it usually peaks in the evening. His cough is a bit more bark-y so hopefully that will calm too.  Mom took the boys to the arcade while Dad and I talked to the Legacy Owner Customer Service about exchanging the week he has in July to another week. It was going to cost about $5,500 to exchange it to about 66,500 points. 

Once everyone was up and moving (Thom slept in until 10:00--woohoo vacation!) it was decided that people wanted to go to the outlet mall. We all got in the vehicle, but my gut was telling me it wasn't a good idea because of how much Teddy was coughing.  So while Dad was turning around in the condos across the street, Thom, Teddy and I hopped out. We checked out the indoor/outdoor pool over there before heading back to the condo. It was a good thing we headed back to the condo because when we got here we kept hearing a noise...turns out Mom accidentally put in the laundry pod to the dishwasher and it was overflowing! 

We talked with Larry and Marci for a bit about Disney on Wednesday before Teddy decided he wanted to lay down for a bit--his fever climbed to 101. So, as I type this Thom is working out, Teddy is watching Bluey in bed and I am sitting out on the bench watching a duck go under water to hunt for fish. The pool is starting to get crowded and it is about 73 degrees. It is absolutely beautiful! Stephen is on his way and will be arriving around 1:00.  It is not ideal to have a sick Teddy, but it is also a blessing to have a place where he can relax and the rest of us can go do our own things. This weather is gorgeous and I can understand why people choose to live in Florida! More to come in a bit...

At about 1:00 we headed to the pool. Stephen took the scenic route which had some construction so he arrived at about 2:00. We hung out at the pool and enjoyed some pina coladas and lunch at Tony's. I put the boys down for nap about 3:30 and then met Stephen and Thom at pool 3 for some kid-free relaxing time. We stayed for about an hour before heading back to the condo to change and create our evening plans.  We decided on going golfing at Congo River mini golf course.

We decided on the Livingston course because I had never done that one before. It was super busy! We were between two groups, but it kept moving. It was fun to complete the course. I had been there two times before, but never completed the course due to going ahead with the boys. It is really a neat course! We had fun!

Mid-mini golf we tried to order pizza, but UNOS had an 1.5 hour wait for pick up so we searched for another location. We came upon Flippers Pizzaria which is in Old Town. So after mini-golf (Thom won with 45 strokes, Becca 49, Drew 50, Stephen 54) we drove to Old Town to pick up our pizza. I had never been to Old Town before. It would be a neat place to walk around sometime. There are little shops all over and it was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We were a little early picking up our pizza so we walked around a bit and watched people shoot up on the sling shot ride. 

Once we got pizza we headed back to the condo for dinner. Teddy still isn't 100% but I think he's on the mend.  We stayed up and talked for a bit and Stephen headed home about 11:00. It was a nice day and it was good to see Stephen since he has moved to Jacksonville.  Hopefully the boys will sleep in a bit because they were up late.

 Unfortunately it is our day to leave the condo. Due to impending weather Mom and Dad will be leaving from dropping us off to head north.  We slept in a bit and finished packing in the morning. The boys and Mom found that the duck was laying on some eggs and found an additional egg by the electrical box.   When checking in for the airport it said to arrive 3 hours early due to heavier travel volumes so we left after Dad's meeting at around 10:45.  We were able to get right through security without any lines! However, once we arrived we learned that our flight had been delayed by 3 hours and was now scheduled to go at 5:00.  We found a Ruby Tuesday and sat for lunch.  Teddy's cough was starting to get better, but he would get a really bad spurt and almost puke. December 26, 2021

 This morning Mom and I started off by heading to Walgreens for some cough medicine for Teddy. We found some halls suckers and cough medicine so we should be good to go. Thom, Mom, Drew and Dad all went to Marshalls and the outlet mall this morning. I had been taking Teddy's temperature with the thermometer Mom had, but he just felt super warm so Thom got some tylenol and a new thermometer. Sure enough the kiddo has a fever.  The medicine helped and Teddy started to feel a bit better around lunch time. We ate leftovers for lunch and went swimming in the third pool for a bit.  About 2:30 we decided it was a good time for a nap and brought the boys back. Drew stayed with the boys while they napped in the condo and Thom and I joined Marci, Larry, Dad and Mom at pool 3. We enjoyed a few drinks (yay for pina coladas with a rum floater and Naturdays!) and some pool/hot tub time.  While the boys were napping I caught up on the blog while sitting outside the condo and people watched people

 Whelp. Change in plans again. Larry and I struggled to purchase Genie + last night, so we were up until about 12:30. At 12:15, Thom walked out of the bedroom and said Teddy's cough was not improving; in fact, he thought it was getting worse. So, the combination of having a little fever and the cough we decided it would be best for us to not go to Disney. I logged on to move his ticket but because it was after midnight I couldn't do it online. So I had to call after I woke up in the morning. We met at 7:00 so that I could try to get everyone signed up for their lightning lane and get them into the virtual queue for Ratatouille. They got in for queue for group 67 so would be able to get to ride hopefully around 1:00. They also got into the Frozen Ride lightning lane, but that wouldn't be until 7:00pm.   After they got set I called Disney to see what to do about Teddy's ticket.
